Acne Skincare
Clear Skin, Clinically Formulated
Medical-grade acne treatments developed by licensed aesthetician Maxine Dean — the same formulas used at MaxAesthetics Medical Spa in Philadelphia.
The Science
Why Medical-Grade Acne Treatment Works
Over-the-counter acne products rely on low concentrations of active ingredients — enough to market the claim, not enough to clear persistent breakouts. Medical-grade acne skincare uses clinically effective concentrations of salicylic acid, glycolic acid, and niacinamide, formulated to penetrate the follicle wall where acne actually starts.
Maxine Dean developed this acne line after 17 years of treating clients at MaxAesthetics Medical Spa. Every product in this collection addresses a specific stage of the acne cycle: cleansing, exfoliating, treating active breakouts, and preventing new ones — so you can build a complete routine or target your exact concern.
Key Ingredients
Key Ingredients That Clear Acne
Salicylic Acid (BHA)
Oil-soluble beta hydroxy acid that penetrates deep into pores to dissolve sebum, dead skin cells, and debris — the gold standard for blackheads, whiteheads, and cystic acne.
Glycolic Acid (AHA)
Alpha hydroxy acid that exfoliates the skin surface, accelerates cell turnover, and fades post-acne dark marks. Works synergistically with BHAs for full-spectrum exfoliation.
Niacinamide (Vitamin B3)
Regulates sebum production, reduces pore appearance, calms inflammation, and fades hyperpigmentation left by healed breakouts — without irritating sensitized skin.
Kaolin Clay
Draws out impurities and excess oil from deep within pores without stripping the skin barrier. Essential for oily and combination acne-prone skin types.

How to Use
The Medical Aesthetician's Acne Routine
Enzyme Facial Cleanser or Acne Relief Duo Cleanser
Gently cleanse with lukewarm water to remove overnight oil and prep skin for actives.
Acne Clear Serum
Apply 2–3 drops to active breakouts and acne-prone zones. Allow to absorb fully before moisturizer.
UVB SPF 45 Sunscreen
Sunscreen is non-negotiable with AHA/BHA use. Apply generously as the final AM step.
Acne Relief Duo Cleanser
Double cleanse if wearing SPF or makeup to ensure actives can penetrate clean skin.
Acne Clear Pads
Swipe one pad across face, neck, and chest. Do not rinse. Allow glycolic acid to work overnight.
Clarifying Mask
Apply a generous layer to oily zones. Leave 10–15 minutes. Rinse with cool water.
